Once, there was a cheerful little boy named Captain Cuddles. He earned his name from his fondness for giving everyone he met warm, friendly hugs.

He was different from the other kids, not because he was odd, but because he had an overflowing amount of love to give.

Today was Captain Cuddles' first day of Kindergarten and he was bubbling with excitement.

He couldn’t wait to meet his new friends and of course, give them one of his big, welcoming hugs.

His mother accompanied him to class and wished him luck as he hopped out of the car with his little backpack bouncing along.

He entered the colorful classroom and was greeted by his teacher, Ms. Applebee. She was expecting a hug, knowing about Captain Cuddles, but instead got a firm handshake.

She admired Captain Cuddles' restraint, knowing that he was trying his best to adapt to new rules.

Class started and all the children were gathered on the carpet for a story.

But as Captain Cuddles looked around the room, he saw so many new faces and he wanted to show them friendship the only way he knew how - with a hug.

He stood up and asked Ms. Applebee if he could give everyone a hug. He was met with a gentle smile and an explanation on personal space.

Ms. Applebee explained that not everybody might feel comfortable with a hug and it's important to ask before hugging.

She told him that each person has an invisible bubble around them, which is their personal space.

She also explained that one should always ask permission before entering someone else's bubble.

Captain Cuddles listened attentively. He understood that people have different comfort levels when it comes to hugs.

He went around his circle of classmates, asking if he could give them a hug. Some kids excitedly agreed, while others politely declined.

He respected their choices and learnt a valuable lesson on personal space.

He spent the day learning, playing, and even got a gold star for his amazing listening skills.

When it was time to go home, he waved goodbye to his new friends but not before asking them if he could give them a hug.

Those who agreed got a squeeze full of love and pure friendship, straight from Captain Cuddles.

When he got home, he excitedly told his mother about his day and the new things he had learnt.

He told her about his new friends and promised to always respect their personal space.

His mother was very proud of him for understanding and respecting the concept of personal space at such a young age.

Captain Cuddles went to bed that night feeling content, knowing he made new friends, and learnt a new rule.

He looked forward to more days full of learning and friendship and of course, filled with hugs.

Captain Cuddles was growing up and his love for people didn't change, he just found new ways to express it.

He learnt that the best way to love people is by respecting them and their personal space.

As days went by, Captain Cuddles became the heart and soul of his classroom. Here was a child who understood the value of consent and respect at such a young age.

His teachers were proud, his classmates loved him, and he became a shining example of empathy and understanding in his Kindergarten class.

So, it's safe to say that Captain Cuddles had a successful first day and many more were to follow in his journey of learning.

His Kindergarten experiences shaped his worldview and he continued to spread love and respect wherever he went.

And in return, he was loved by everyone – not for his hugs, but for his respectful and caring nature.

And even though he was young, his journey was only just beginning. He continued spreading love, respect, and understanding, one hug at a time.

This is the story of a little boy who loved too much and learnt to love even better. This is the story of Captain Cuddles.
