Blair was your typical teenage girl; she was into fashion, spent a lot of time with her friends, and was really into her grades. But recently, she felt as though she was being watched.

It was nothing tangible. A soft rustling in the bushes when she was walking home, a misplaced item in her room, the feeling of being watched. It was all very unsettling.

Then the first clue came, a mysterious note tucked under her bedroom window. It was an ominous warning, telling her someone was out there, watching her, wanting to harm her.

Blair was scared, but she had to find out who was behind this. She couldn't just sit around and wait for something to happen. So, she decided to conduct her own investigation.

The first suspect was Lucy, her ex-best friend. They had a major falling out over a trivial matter, and Lucy had since become somewhat of a bully. Could she be the stalker?

Blair made it her mission to watch Lucy closely. She observed her behaviour, her mannerisms, but nothing really stood out. Lucy seemed as normal as ever, a typical mean girl but not a stalker.

The next suspect on Blair's list was Ethan, her weird neighbour. He had always been a bit strange, always lurking around their street, but was he strange enough to stalk her?

Blair noticed Ethan had an unusual interest in her. He often stared at her from his window, which seemed suspicious. However, she couldn't find any concrete evidence against him.

Then there was Jackson, her guy best friend. He was pretty much her confidant, her go-to friend. But could he be the one? Blair felt a pang of discomfort at the thought.

Suddenly, Blair received another clue; a photo of her that she didn't remember taking. She looked calm in the picture, unaware that she was being watched. The chills running down her spine were inescapable.

There was a note behind the picture, a riddle that hinted towards the identity of the perpetrator. Blair racked her brain trying to make sense of the cryptic words.

The riddle pointed towards someone who she was close with. Blair revisited her suspects. Lucy was not close to her anymore, Ethan was just a neighbor. That left Jackson. No, it couldn't be.

Blair's heart pounded as she confronted Jackson. He seemed genuinely confused and showed her his concern upon hearing about the stalker. But was he just acting?

She apologized to Jackson but made an excuse to leave early. She needed to clear her head, needed to think. She had crossed out Lucy and Ethan, was she wrong?

Just as she was pondering, another clue arrived; a hairpin she had given Lucy during their friendship. Blair's heart sank, had she been wrong about Lucy all along?

Blair confronted Lucy next. The encounter was awkward, and Blair left more puzzled than before. Lucy's responses were ambiguous, and it only enhanced Blair's paranoia.

Blair, feeling cornered, decided to confide in her parents. They were shocked and immediately informed the police. Blair felt a short relief, but her fears remained.

The police started surveilling Blair's house and interviewing her suspects. Meanwhile, Blair received an anonymous email, it read, "Are you close to the answer, Blair?"

Blair felt the walls closing in. The stalker was still watching her, still toying with her. She was terrified. Was it Jackson? Lucy? Or Ethan?

She had another look at the clues, this time more carefully. They all pointed toward someone close to her. Then it clicked, the clues weren't hints, they were distractions.

Blair realized the stalker was Ethan. He was always around, had a strange interest in her and the perfect view of her house. He was always lurking, always watching.

With her revelation, Blair informed the police. The police's surveillance confirmed Blair's suspicions. They found Ethan's house full of photos, notes, and riddles. He was the stalker.

Blair felt a knot loosen in her chest as Ethan was arrested. She was relieved, but her trust in people was shaken. It would take time to recover.

Blair was grateful for her courage and her instinct. She had faced her fears and had successfully protected herself. It wasn't an easy journey, but she was proud of herself.

Blair's life returned to normal. She mended her friendship with Lucy, was more cautious around people, and grew closer to Jackson. But she would never forget her ordeal.

Blair learnt a valuable lesson from her experience; never to underestimate her instincts and always stand up for herself. After all, she was her best protector.
