Moon's Galaxy

As moon wafted through the school hallway, her hair, reminiscent of a twinkling galaxy, flowed freely like a serene river. Deep within her, she carried an air of mystery and intrigue, attracting the gaze of everyone she crossed paths with.

On this day, as she was ascending the stairs, her foot slipped, causing her to fall. Suddenly, she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her, halting her descent. “Are you okay?” a concern-filled voice questioned.

Moon gingerly raised her gaze to meet her savior's. The guy was as pretty as a girl, his eyelashes twice as long as hers and eyes a captivating ruby red. Moon was immediately mesmerized by his exotic beauty.

Shakily, Moon found her footing and straightened herself, her cheeks heating up in embarrassment. “Thank you for… saving me.” She stuttered, her bashfulness causing her to hide her face behind her bangs.

“It’s okay," the boy responded, a gentle smile gracing his lips as he extended his hand, "Hi, my name is Ril.” “I’m mo-moon,” Moon stammered, her heart fluttering in her chest.

Ril's laughter filled the air, causing Moon's embarrassment to fade away, replaced by a sense of joy and comfort. Like two long lost friends, they immediately hit it off, spending the rest of the day in each other's company.

As school ended, Ril extended an unexpected invitation. “Would you like to join me and my friends at a club tonight?” Stunned, Moon found herself nodding, excited yet nervous about the evening plan.

Upon arrival at the club, Ril's group of friends immediately took a liking to her. They insisted she join them in toasting the night away. Wanting to fit in and not come across as dull, she hesitantly accepted their offer.

The rest of the night was a blur. Moon found herself waking up the next morning, her head pounding, and realized she was in a bed. And it wasn't her bed. She looked over to see Ril sleeping peacefully next to her.

Mortification painted her cheeks a deep red as she swiftly gathered her belongings, careful not to rouse the sleeping boy. Quietly, she made her exit, leaving Ril's apartment with her heart pounding and her face burning.

At school, the atmosphere seemed to have changed. Ril, previously warm and friendly, now seemed distant and aloof. He avoided her like the plague, his behavior puzzling and hurtful to Moon.

Desperate for a chance to clear the air, Moon sought him out. She wanted to explain, to apologize if she had done something wrong. Yet, Ril passed her like she wasn't there, his indifference piercing her heart.

Baffled and hurt, Moon decided to put some distance between them as well. She focused on her schoolwork and spent her time with her own friends. Life moved on but the memories of her time with Ril were etched in her heart.

However, things took an unexpected turn when a guy from her class, Finn, expressed his interest in her. He was kind, caring, and always made her laugh. Still, her heart ached when she thought about Ril.

Eventually, she found herself drawn towards Finn. He patched up the pieces of her broken heart and provided comfort she hadn't realized she needed. She finally gave in to his advances and they started dating.

Little did she know that Ril was silently suffering as he watched her happiness with Finn. He wished to turn back time and make things right. Yet, his actions had caused a deep wound, one that wasn't easy to heal.

As the moonlight streamed in through her window one night, Moon found herself thinking about Ril. She missed his laughter, his company. But she had Finn now, who treated her with love and respect.

Moon realized that her feelings for Ril were not as profound as she'd thought. What she'd mistaken for love was mere fascination. On the other hand, her love for Finn was true and deep.

That night, she dreamt about Ril for the first time in weeks. Yet, when she woke up, there was no pain, no longing. She knew then, that she'd moved on. She was no longer the moon orbiting around Ril. She had found a galaxy of her own, in Finn.

One day, she'd meet Ril again. They'd share a nod, perhaps a smile, acknowledging the past they once had. But for now, Moon was basking in the warmth of her own world, with Finn, as she continued her journey through the vast universe called life.
