"Wow, this game is so cool!" exclaimed the 10-year-old boy. He was sitting alone in his room, mesmerized by the computer screen that displayed a spinning wheel.

The wheel was part of a game that claimed to transform the player into whatever creature it landed on. He spun the wheel and it landed on an axolotl.

"What a joke!" he laughed. "It’s just a game!" Disappointed, he invited his best friend over to hang out, forgetting about the wheel's prediction.

As his friend arrived, he noticed a peculiar feeling in his hands. They were becoming damp and webbed. Terrified, he hid his hands.

As the transformation progressed, his skin turned slippery and soft. Specks of black and gold started appearing on his arms.

"You okay?" his friend asked, noticing the boy's discomfort. "Yeah, I’m fine," he lied, trying to hide his fear.

His legs were now shrinking and changing shape. His feet became tiny, webbed, and soft. He could barely stand.

He was slowly changing into an axolotl. His appearance was changing, and so was the world around him.

His friend, unaware of the transformation, continued to play the game on his computer. He was engrossed in the game, oblivious to the boy's plight.

The boy's face started morphing. His eyes, now on the sides of his head, were round and shiny. His mouth was replaced by gills.

As the transformation was complete, he found himself in his friend's hands. His friend was now his owner, his caretaker.

His friend looked at him with a loving gaze. "I've always wanted a pet axolotl," he said, "You're going to love your new home."

He was taken to his friend's house, where a spacious tank awaited him. It was filled with clean water, plants, and rocks.

He was gently placed in the tank. The cool water felt soothing against his skin. He swam around, exploring his new surroundings.

His friend fed him tiny worms. It was strange at first, but he quickly adapted. He was hungry and the food was delicious.

His friend watched him with joy. He loved his new pet axolotl. The boy could sense his friend's happiness, which made his new life bearable.

Over the days, he grew fond of his life as an axolotl. It was peaceful and calm. The world was different, but not worse.

He learned to communicate with his friend in a new way. He would swim to the surface whenever his friend approached the tank.

His friend would talk to him, telling him stories about his day. He would listen, understanding everything. He was still his friend, even as an axolotl.

He missed being a human, but he accepted his new life. He was a beloved pet, and his friend took great care of him.

He watched as his friend played the computer game that had changed his life. He felt a pang of longing but quickly brushed it off.

His friend was always there for him. When he was sick, his friend would nurse him back to health. He was well taken care of.

He spent his days swimming, eating, and resting. His life was simple but fulfilling. He had everything he needed.

His friend would often sit by the tank, watching him. He would swim around, putting on a show for his friend. They were still best friends.

He had become a part of his friend's family. They loved him and took care of him. He was no longer just a pet, he was family.

He had transformed into an axolotl, but he was still himself. He had his memories and his consciousness. He was still the boy, just in a different form.

As time passed, he grew more comfortable with his new life. He was happy and content. He had found peace in his transformation.

His friend grew older, but his love for his pet axolotl never waned. They were inseparable, always together. He was thankful for his friend.

He was the boy who became an axolotl. He was a pet, a friend, a family member. He was loved and cherished.

His life had changed drastically, but he had found happiness. He was the boy who became an axolotl, and he wouldn't change a thing.
