A sole shaft of moonlight fell onto the indigo-haired Yuki as she darted through the mansion’s forsaken garden. Each contraction hit her like a wave, her scream echoing in the night.

The ghouls, drawn by the scent of blood, trailed behind Yuki. Their guttural growls and otherworldly shrieks raised the hair on the back of her neck.

Cradling her belly, Yuki stumbled into the mansion’s ancient chapel. For a moment, the echo of prayers and hymns gave her respite.

But relief was short-lived. The ghouls congregated at the chapel entrance, their snarls growing louder. Yuki intently sought an escape route.

Spotting a hidden tunnel beneath the altar, Yuki staggered towards it, her fingers tracing the cold stone as another contraction hit.

Yuki's tights strained under her progressing labor. She gripped her belly, fighting the urge to push as she crawled through the narrow tunnel.

The tunnel led to a secluded courtyard. Yuki collapsed onto the cobblestones, the scent of roses providing small comfort as her water broke.

The ghouls sniffed the air, catching Yuki's scent. They began to furiously dig at the entrance of the tunnel, their black eyes gleaming with hunger.

Yuki screamed as her baby began to crown; every fibre of her being pushed her towards the intense pain of childbirth.

The hostile ghouls closed in on Yuki, their monstrous forms illuminated by the moon's silvery glow. Yuki's terror heightened, her heart pounding.

Desperate, Yuki struggled to her feet, pushing past the pain. She sidestepped the first ghoul, its skeletal hand grazing her arm.

Yuki sprinted for the mansion again, her baby pushing, straining, seeking escape. The ghouls chased behind her, their ghastly cries cutting through the night.

Entering the mansion, Yuki collapsed onto the grand staircase. Her dress drenched with sweat, she clung to the banister, her body wracked with pain.

The ghouls prowled at the entrance, their haunted eyes fixed on Yuki. With a primal hiss, they lurched forward, their desire for blood overtaking them.

Yuki's child thrashed within her, demanding release. Her frantic eyes searched for an escape; she had to push, there was no other choice.

Through gritted teeth, she ascended the stairs, step by agonizing step. Each one louder than the last, a testament to her determination.

Behind her, the ghouls scrambled. Their distorted cries reverberated through the mansion, the air thick with desperation and terror.

Yuki reached the top, dragging herself into a bedroom. She barricaded the door with a dresser, praying it would hold the ghouls at bay.

Fighting through the final stage of labor, Yuki lay on the cold floor, wracked with pain yet determined to protect her unborn child.

The ghouls, undeterred, scratched and pounded at the door. Their raspy cries echoed through the mansion, but Yuki had a more immediate concern.

With a resounding cry and a final push, Yuki brought her child into the world. Her sweat-soaked face beamed with relief and pure joy.

The ghouls abruptly stopped, their cries silenced. They retreated, leaving Yuki and her newborn alone in the daunting mansion.

Yuki held her child close, her weary eyes filled with unconditional love. She had braved the terror of the mansion, enduring a night of fear.

As dawn broke, the Court of Roses was eerily silent. The night's terror seemed like a distant nightmare as Yuki cradled her newborn.

Looking down at her child, Yuki knew they had a fighting chance. She had survived a haunting ordeal, coming out stronger than she ever was.
