Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Sam and a little girl named Lily. They were the best of friends and loved exploring together. On this particular day, they looked up at the sky and saw raindrops falling gently from the clouds. They both wondered why it was raining today.

Sam's eyes widened with curiosity as he turned to Lily and asked, "Why is it raining, Lily? Do you know?" Lily thought for a moment before replying, "I'm not sure, Sam. Maybe the clouds are sad and crying." Sam tilted his head in confusion, so Lily continued, "Sometimes when people are sad, they cry. Maybe clouds can feel sad too." Sam nodded, understanding Lily's explanation.

Together, they decided to find out more about the rain. Hand in hand, they ran to their favorite place, the library. Mrs. Johnson, the librarian, greeted them with a warm smile. "Hello, Sam and Lily! How can I help you today?" she asked. Sam looked up at her with his big round eyes and said, "Could you please tell us why it is raining outside?"

Mrs. Johnson led them to a cozy corner and opened a colorful book about weather. As they sat down, she explained, "Rain happens when water droplets in the clouds get heavy and fall down to the ground. It helps plants and flowers grow, just like when we drink water to stay healthy." Sam and Lily listened intently, absorbing every word like little sponges.

With newfound knowledge, Sam and Lily left the library and ventured into the rainy world outside. They noticed rain puddles forming on the ground, reflecting the colorful flowers nearby. Sam giggled and jumped into a puddle, sending water splashing all around. Lily laughed and followed suit, enjoying the magical feeling of raindrops on their skin.

As they continued their exploration, they came across a small snail slowly crawling on a leaf. Sam crouched down and said, "Hello, Mr. Snail! Do you like the rain?" The snail moved its head and replied in a tiny voice, "Yes, rain helps keep me cool and moist." Lily and Sam were amazed by how rain helped all living things, big and small.

Suddenly, they spotted a bright rainbow stretching across the sky. "Look, Lily! A rainbow!" Sam exclaimed in awe. Lily nodded and said, "Mrs. Johnson told us that a rainbow appears when the sun shines through raindrops. It's like nature's beautiful painting in the sky." They twirled around happily, admiring the vibrant colors above them.

As the rain gradually stopped, Sam and Lily returned home, feeling grateful for the rain's visit. They knew rain was important for the Earth and all its creatures. Lily said, "Even though we may not always know why things happen, it's good to learn and understand them, just like we did with the rain." Sam smiled and agreed, thankful for their friendship and the adventures they shared.
