It was midnight, the sky was dark and filled with stars. Kyra was having a sleepover with her cousins, the Rowdy Ruff Boys. All was peaceful until she had a vision.

The vision was vivid, so real that she could feel the emotions coursing through her. In this vision, she and her cousin Brick were older, both of them were 12.

They were arguing, voices raised in anger. Brick was blaming her for something, something so terrible that his words seemed to echo in her head.

"It's your fault! You're the reason they're dead!" Brick shouted, his words cutting through the silent night.

He was blaming her for the death of his parents, the words coming out like a harsh slap. It was too much for Kyra, she felt her heart breaking.

Suddenly, Brick lashed out, his fist connecting with her eye. Pain exploded across her face as she fell to the ground.

She could feel the warm blood trickling down her cheek, a sharp reminder of the violence that had just occurred.

And then she woke up, back in her room, staring at the sleeping form of Brick. The vision had been so real, so terrifying.

She touched her eye, half expecting to feel the pain from the punch. But there was nothing, just the lingering fear from the dream.
