The day had started like any other for Phoenix. He was playing hide and seek with his friends in the city park when it all happened. Suddenly, the sky darkened, and Dr. Eggman's airship appeared.

Eggman's voice echoed across the city, declaring his new plan. Phoenix watched in horror as people around him started transforming into mindless zombots.

Phoenix ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. He could hear the terrifying roars of the zombots getting closer. He needed to find Tails.

He took shelter in an abandoned warehouse, trying to come up with a plan. He knew Tails would be looking for him too.

As he peeked out from his hiding spot, he saw a group of zombots marching past the warehouse. His heart pounded in his chest.

Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice calling his name. It was Tails, flying low, looking for him. He was relieved and scared at the same time.

He stepped out of his hiding, waving at Tails. But just as Tails spotted him, a zombot lunged at Phoenix from behind.

Phoenix screamed and ducked, the zombot missing him by inches. Tails swooped down, pulling Phoenix up into the air, away from the zombot.

They flew away, with the zombots giving chase. Phoenix clung onto Tails, tears streaming down his face. He was safe, for now.

Tails explained that they needed to find and destroy Eggman's control device to free the zombots. Phoenix knew he had to help.

They flew towards Eggman's airship, dodging the zombots. It was dangerous, but it was their only hope.

As they approached the airship, Eggman spotted them. He commanded the zombots to attack them. It was a terrifying sight.

Tails managed to evade the zombots, getting Phoenix close enough to the control device. It was up to Phoenix now.

He jumped from Tails' back, landing on the airship. He ran towards the control device, zombots closing in on him.

He reached the device and started to tamper with it, praying that it would work. The zombots were just a few feet away.

Just as a zombot was about to touch him, the device sparked and shut down. The zombots froze, their red eyes dimming.

Phoenix sighed in relief, but his victory was short-lived. The airship started to lose control, heading for a crash.

He held onto the device as the ship crashed, throwing him off. He fell, screaming, towards the city below.

Just as he was about to hit the ground, Tails caught him. They landed safely, amidst the wreckage of the airship.

They looked around, the city was quiet. The zombots were no longer a threat. They had done it, they had saved the city.

But their victory was short-lived. Eggman had survived the crash and was standing before them, furious and vengeful.

He lunged at Phoenix, but before he could reach him, Tails pushed Phoenix out of the way, getting caught by Eggman instead.

Phoenix watched in horror as Eggman transformed Tails into a zombot. He cried out, but it was too late. Tails was gone.

He was alone, surrounded by the wreckage, with a zombot Tails and a victorious Eggman. The horror was far from over.

He looked at Tails, his friend, now a mindless zombot. He felt a surge of determination. He would save Tails, no matter what.

With a newfound resolve, he turned to face Eggman. He wasn't Sonic, but he was Phoenix Prower, and he wouldn't give up.

But as he took a step forward, he felt a cold touch on his shoulder. He turned around to see Tails, his eyes lifeless and cold.

The last thing he saw was Tails' paw reaching for him, and then everything went black. The city was silent, with only Eggman's laughter echoing in the night.
