In the early days, Arsenal Football Club was known as Dial Square. The name was a nod to their origin, born out of the Royal Armaments factory in Woolwich in 1886. With their humble beginnings, the club's logo was a simple crest featuring 3 cannons, symbolizing their roots.

Dial Square soon became Royal Arsenal, then Woolwich Arsenal, reflecting their association with the local area. The club's logo evolved with each name change, but the cannon always remained a prominent part of the design.

It wasn't until the club moved to North London that it became known as Arsenal Football Club. This new chapter in the club's history saw another redesign of the logo, with the cannon now pointed eastwards, symbolizing the club's move.

In 1925, the club welcomed Herbert Chapman, a man who would bring great success to Arsenal in the years to come. The 1930s became one of the club's most victorious periods, winning seven leagues and an FA Cup.
