Once upon a time, in an old and faraway garden that glowed under the rays of the rising sun every morning, there existed a tiny, bustling world hidden from the easy gaze of humans. This world was called the beehive, and it resembled a very small city—one where everyone worked hard, and no one ever lazed around. The hive buzzed with energy, order, and a sense of purpose that filled every corner.
At the heart of the hive lived the queen—the only bee in the kingdom who could lay eggs. She was a bit longer and bigger than the rest, never leaving her chamber because her job was so important. Every bee in the kingdom was born from her! But does the queen shout or give orders? No, bees do not talk like humans. Instead, the queen releases special scents called pheromones, which carry her commands to every bee in the hive.
For example, when the queen wants to lay more eggs, she sends out a scent that makes the worker bees take extra care of the hive and expand it. There are three types of bees in the hive: the queen, who lays eggs—sometimes more than 2,000 a day!—the drones, whose only job is to help the queen mate and who don’t live long after that, and the workers, the true heroines of the hive. All workers are female and perform every other task needed!
What do the workers do? There are many jobs, and every worker bee does her job according to her age. In the first days of life, she stays inside the hive, cleaning and feeding the young bees, and making royal jelly for the queen. After a few days, she starts building wax cells, cleaning tiny homes, and guarding the hive’s entrance from intruders.
After about three weeks of life, the worker bee begins her grand journey! She leaves the hive to collect nectar from flowers, using her long tongue to drink nectar and store it in her special honey stomach. When she returns, she passes the nectar to another bee, who chews it inside her mouth until it becomes a special liquid, then stores it in a wax cell. After a while, the cell is sealed, and the liquid turns into delicious honey!
At night, every bee rests in her spot, and the hive stays cozy thanks to their wing movements, which keep it warm even in winter. Every bee in the kingdom knows her role exactly—no one is lazy, and no one complains. They work together like one big family, knowing that everything they do is important: feeding the kingdom, protecting the queen, and making the world around them more beautiful.
And so, life continues in the bee kingdom, with amazing organization and tireless work. Every bee does her job, the queen watches quietly, and honey is made drop by drop, becoming one of the finest things God has created.
