The Teen Titans were lounging at their tower when an alert blared out. A chess-themed giant monster was wreaking havoc downtown. All eyes turned to their leader, Robin, who quickly strategized a plan.

As they raced towards the scene, Starfire, Raven, Cyborg, and Terra looked at the monster in disbelief. It was indeed a chess-themed giant beast. They named it Fortstopher IV.

They launched their attack, but Fortstopher IV countered them using chess-themed moves. It was like fighting an oversized, unpredictable chess board. It was then Beast Boy stepped forward.

"I've got this," Beast Boy said, surprising everyone. He morphed into a green falcon, swooping around Fortstopher IV, distracting it with swift and unpredictable moves.

Beast Boy then transformed into a green elephant, charging towards the monster. He managed to topple a few chess pieces, creating an opening for the others.

With Beast Boy's opening, the Titans launched a combined attack, managing to destabilize Fortstopher IV. Robin quickly moved to investigate the monster's core.

Robin found a man trapped within the monster, controlling it. The man was none other than Cal Suresh, an undefeated chess champion who mysteriously disappeared a few years ago.

"You lost to me, and you couldn't handle it," Beast Boy said, shocking his teammates. He explained how he defeated Cal in a chess match, leading to Cal's transformation into a villain.

Cal admitted it with a sneer. He was tired of losing, so he decided to make everyone else lose. Beast Boy retorted, calling Cal a "petty ding-dong" for his actions.

Cal, still stuck inside Fortstopher IV, challenged Beast Boy to a chess match. If Beast Boy won, he'd stop his rampage. Beast Boy accepted the challenge without hesitation.

The Titans watched anxiously as Beast Boy played against Cal. Every move was a battle, but Beast Boy remained calm, his green eyes focused on the board.

Beast Boy made a daring move, sacrificing his queen for a strategic advantage. It was a risky move, but Beast Boy's face showed no doubt. His friends watched in awe.

Cal seemed to falter, his confidence waning. He made a few hasty moves, playing right into Beast Boy's trap. With a final checkmate, Beast Boy won the game.

As promised, Cal surrendered. Fortstopher IV fell apart, reverting back to a harmless pile of chess pieces. Cal was taken into custody, and the city was safe once again.

Back at their tower, the Titans celebrated their victory. But more than that, they celebrated Beast Boy's skill and bravery. The "petty ding-dong" had been defeated, and it was all thanks to Beast Boy.
