The Mushroom Kingdom, home to Princess Peach, was under threat. Bowser and his army were planning an attack. The brothers, now aware of the danger, decided to help.

Equipped with power-ups provided by Captain Toad, Mario and Luigi embarked on their mission to stop Bowser. The journey was fraught with danger, but they persevered.
