Superboy was never one to back down from a fight. But this was no ordinary fight, not when his opponent was the fearsome, unpredictable Nemesis.

The fight started with them circling each other. Superboy's eyes were locked onto Nemesis, studying his every move.

Superboy moved first, launching himself at Nemesis. But Nemesis easily sidestepped his attack, throwing a punch that sent Superboy flying.

Ignoring the pain, Superboy got back up, launching himself at Nemesis again. This time, he managed to land a punch.

But Nemesis seemed unfazed. He retaliated with a series of brutal punches, each one more powerful than the last.

Superboy was on the defensive, trying to block and dodge Nemesis's relentless attacks. But he was quickly losing ground.

In a desperate move, Superboy launched himself at Nemesis, aiming a punch at his face. But Nemesis caught his fist mid-air.

With a cruel smile, Nemesis squeezed Superboy's fist. The pain was unbearable, but Superboy didn't make a sound.

Superboy used his free hand to punch Nemesis in the gut. But Nemesis simply laughed, the punch having no effect on him.

In a swift move, Nemesis threw Superboy to the ground. Superboy tried to get up, but his strength was waning.

Nemesis stood over Superboy, a victorious smile on his face. He was enjoying this, the brutal beating of a young hero.

But Superboy wasn't done yet. With a roar, he pushed himself off the ground, delivering a powerful punch to Nemesis's jaw.

Nemesis staggered back, surprised. But he quickly recovered, countering with a punch of his own.

The punch landed squarely on Superboy's face, sending him flying. He landed hard, his vision blurring.

Superboy tried to get up, but his body wouldn't respond. He lay there, defenseless, as Nemesis approached him.

"You're finished, Superboy," Nemesis gloated, standing over the beaten hero. "This is the end for you."

Superboy didn't respond. He was too weak, too beaten. He could only watch as Nemesis raised his fist to deliver the final blow.

But Superboy wasn't ready to give up. With the last of his strength, he managed to dodge Nemesis's punch.

He tried to counterattack, but Nemesis easily blocked his punch. Superboy's strength was fading, and it showed.

Nemesis laughed, punching Superboy again. This time, Superboy didn't get up. He lay there, beaten and broken.

"It's over, Superboy," Nemesis said, standing over the fallen hero. "You've lost."

And it was. Superboy couldn't move, couldn't fight back. He had lost. And with that realization, darkness claimed him.

Nemesis looked down at the unconscious Superboy, a triumphant smile on his face. He had won. He was victorious.

But his victory was a hollow one. For he had not defeated a hero, but a boy. A boy who had fought with all his might and lost.

And as Superboy lay there, defeated and unconscious, the city mourned its fallen hero. But they also celebrated his bravery, his determination, his spirit.

For even in defeat, Superboy had shown them what it meant to be a hero. He had fought until the end, never giving up, never backing down.

And though he lay beaten and broken, they knew that he would rise again. For Superboy was not just a hero. He was their hero.

And so, even in the face of defeat, they held onto hope. Hope that Superboy would recover, that he would come back stronger. That he would continue to be their hero.

For that was what Superboy was. A symbol of hope, of bravery, of determination. And even in defeat, that symbol remained unbroken.

And so, as they mourned their fallen hero, they also celebrated him. For he was Superboy, the boy who fought until the end. And they would never forget him.
