Lena was lost in the forest. She had a sense of adventure but this was more than she bargained for. The path she was following suddenly ended at a cliff edge.

In her panic, she stumbled and fell off the cliff. As she plummeted, a rope caught around her ankle, leaving her suspended upside down and far above the ground.

As Lena hung there, her world turned upside down, literally. She could see the forest floor far below her, a frightening sight. She tried to calm herself and think.

She remembered the pocket knife she had in her dress pocket. With difficulty, she managed to get it out and began to saw at the rope.

It was a slow and painstaking process, and she had to stop frequently due to the blood rushing to her head. But she was determined and kept going.

Finally, after what seemed like hours, the rope snapped. Lena fell, but she was close enough to the ground that she wasn't hurt.

Lena was relieved to be back on solid ground. She dusted off her dress and looked around, trying to get her bearings and find her way back home.

She spotted a familiar landmark, a large oak tree, and started to walk towards it. She knew that her house was not far from there.

As she walked, she thought about her adventure. It had been scary, but she had also learned something about herself. She was stronger and braver than she thought.
