In a quiet village, a washer lived with his old donkey. Every day, they would collect dirty clothes from villagers, wash them, and return them by the evening.

As time passed, the donkey grew old and weak. It struggled to carry the heavy load of clothes. One afternoon, as they were on their way to wash the clothes, they encountered a dried well on their path.

The donkey, unaware of the danger, fell into the well. The washer panicked and tried to pull the donkey out, but his efforts were in vain.

Soon, the villagers gathered, offering their help. Despite their collective efforts, they couldn't rescue the donkey. They concluded that the donkey was too old and suggested burying it in the well.

Just as the washer was about to agree to the villagers' suggestion, a kind stranger appeared. He asked what was happening and the washer explained the situation.

The stranger then smiled and said, 'There's an easy way to save the donkey.' The washer, taken aback, said the villagers had told him it was too late.

The stranger assured him that it was not too late. He suggested throwing some dry grass into the well. The donkey would eat the grass and try to climb up, then the washer could pull it out with a rope.

The washer found the idea sensible and quickly acted on it. The donkey started eating the grass and slowly climbed up. The washer then pulled it out with a rope.

The donkey was finally safe and out of the well. The washer was immensely grateful to the kind stranger. He learned a valuable lesson that day, to never lose hope regardless of the situation.

He also realized the importance of taking advice wisely. Not all advice that people give is helpful, and one must use their own judgment to determine the best course of action.
