David, a shepherd boy, was busy tending his father's sheep. He was a brave and faithful young boy.

One day, a prophet named Samuel visited David's house. He anointed David, meaning he was chosen to be a future king.

David faced his first big challenge when a giant warrior named Goliath threatened his people, the Israelites.

Even though David was just a boy, he bravely stood up to Goliath. With just a stone and his sling, David defeated the giant.

After many years, David became the King of Israel. He was loved by his people and he ruled them with kindness.

King David made many mistakes, but he always asked God for forgiveness. He was known as a man after God's own heart.

David had a dream to build a temple for God. But God told him that his son, Solomon, would be the one to do it.

Even so, David gathered all the materials for the temple. He wanted to make sure everything was ready for his son.

As David grew old, he prepared Solomon to be the next king. He advised him to be strong, courageous and faithful to God.

David passed away after ruling for 40 years. His legacy lived on through his son Solomon, who became a wise king.

Solomon fulfilled his father's dream and built the temple. It was a magnificent building that glorified God.

The story of David teaches us to be brave, to trust in God and to seek forgiveness when we make mistakes.
