Noah and the Great Flood

Once upon a time, there lived a kind man named Noah. He was loved by everyone in his village for his generosity and care towards all creatures.

One day, Noah heard a voice from the heavens. It was God, who told him about a great flood that would wash away everything on Earth.

God instructed Noah to build a large ark. It had to be big enough to carry two of every kind of animal, and Noah's family.

Noah worked tirelessly, cutting wood and hammering nails. The ark began to take shape, and it was the biggest boat anyone had ever seen.

As Noah was finishing the ark, a pair of elephants lumbered towards him. They were the first animals to arrive, looking at the ark curiously.

Soon, animals started coming from all directions. There were lions, monkeys, giraffes, and even tiny ants. All came in twos, just as God had said.

With all the animals and his family safely aboard, Noah looked at the clear sky. He wondered when the rain would start.

Suddenly, the sky turned dark, and the first drops of rain started to fall. It was the beginning of the great flood.

The rain poured down for forty days and forty nights. The water level rose, lifting the ark high above the ground.

Inside the ark, Noah and his family took care of the animals. Despite the storm outside, they were safe and warm.

Once the rain stopped, they waited for the water to recede. Every day, Noah sent a dove out to check if the land had dried.

One day, the dove came back with an olive branch. It meant that the land was dry again. Everyone on the ark was overjoyed.

Noah opened the door of the ark, and the animals rushed out. They were eager to return to their homes.

Noah and his family thanked God for keeping them safe. They were happy to see the sun again, and the world teeming with life.

God made a rainbow appear in the sky. It was a promise to Noah that He would never again send a flood to destroy the Earth.

Noah and his family started their new life. They built a home, planted crops, and lived happily with the animals around them.

Every time they saw a rainbow in the sky, they remembered God's promise. And they would tell the story of the great flood to their children and grandchildren.

And so, Noah's story was passed down from generation to generation. It taught them about courage, faith, and the importance of caring for all creatures.

But most importantly, it reminded everyone that even in the darkest times, there is always a rainbow waiting to shine.

And just like Noah, we must remember to be kind, brave and have faith, no matter what comes our way.

So, my dear, as you drift off to sleep, remember Noah's story. Dream of the ark, the animals, and the beautiful rainbow. Goodnight.
