Once upon a time, a shepherd boy was watching over his flock of sheep in the fields. He was feeling extremely bored and wanted to have some fun.

To amuse himself, the boy shouted 'Wolf! Wolf!'. Villagers came running to help him, only to find out that he was lying. They returned home, angry and exhausted.

The shepherd boy found the whole situation funny and laughed at their worried faces. He thought it was a great joke and decided to repeat it.

A few days later, he cried 'Wolf! Wolf!' again. The villagers, once again, rushed to help him but found nothing. They were annoyed with the boy and his lies.

One day, a real wolf came to the fields. The boy was terrified and cried for help, shouting 'Wolf! Wolf!' as loud as he could.

But this time, no one came to help. The villagers had learned their lesson and didn't believe the boy's cries. The wolf attacked the sheep, and the boy could do nothing to stop it.

After the wolf left, the boy returned to the village. He told the villagers about the wolf, but they shook their heads in disbelief.

They didn't believe him anymore. The boy was left alone, realizing the grave mistake he had made by lying.

From that day on, the boy worked hard. He understood the importance of honesty and decided to never lie again.

Slowly and steadily, he started earning back the trust of the villagers. His actions spoke louder than his words and people began to trust him again.

The boy's honesty brought him closer to the villagers. They were happy to see his transformation and accepted him back into their lives.

And so, the boy learned a valuable lesson. 'Nobody believes a liar...even when he tells the truth.' And from that day forward, he never lied again, knowing the importance of honesty.
