David, the youngest of seven brothers, was a shepherd boy. Every morning, he led his sheep to the meadow to graze.

David was brave and kind. Despite being small, he was always ready to protect his sheep from any danger.

One evening, a giant bear named Goliath came down from the mountains. The sheep were scared and ran away.

David, though frightened, didn't run. He stood his ground, ready to protect his flock from Goliath.

David picked up five smooth stones from the brook and put them in his pouch. He took out his sling, ready to fight.

As Goliath charged, David slung a stone. It hit Goliath between the eyes, and the bear ran away in fear.

David's courage had saved his flock. He gathered his sheep and led them home, safe and sound.

That night, David thanked God for his safety and the safety of his sheep. He fell asleep, content and brave.
