In the heart of the savannah, under the shade of an acacia tree, a powerful lion was taking a nap.

A tiny mouse, lost and scared, scurried over the lion, jolting him awake from his peaceful slumber.

The lion awoke with a roar, capturing the terrified mouse in his mighty paw. 'How dare you wake me!' he roared.

The mouse pleaded, 'Spare me, and I will help you one day.' The lion laughed loudly at this promise, but let the mouse go.

Days later, the lion found himself trapped in a hunter's net. He struggled in vain, his roars echoing across the savannah.

From the tall grass, the hunter emerged, pleased with his catch. The lion's fierce roars had no effect on him.

The mouse, hearing the lion's roars, rushed towards the sound. Seeing the lion trapped, he remembered his promise.

The mouse approached the net, his small size allowing him to evade the hunter. He began to gnaw at the ropes.

With persistent effort, the mouse gnawed through the ropes. The lion, now free, quickly bounded away into the savannah.

The hunter returned to find his net empty. He could only stare in disbelief as the lion disappeared into the distance.

The lion, safe under the acacia tree, thanked the little mouse. 'You kept your promise,' he said, 'I was wrong to laugh.'

The mouse simply smiled, 'Even the smallest can help the mighty.' This was a lesson the lion would never forget.
