Toby was an adventurous little boy who lived in a small town in England. One sunny afternoon, he decided to go on a picnic in the park near the local zoo.

While he was enjoying his sandwiches, he heard a loud roar. Looking around, he saw an escaped lion from the zoo, heading straight towards him.

Toby's heart pounded in his chest as he quickly packed his things and began to run. The lion roared again and started chasing after him.

Toby ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. He turned corners, jumped over fences, but the lion was right behind him.

He remembered his dad once telling him about how lions can't climb trees. Looking around, he spotted a tree with low branches and ran towards it.

With all his might, Toby climbed up the tree. He watched with bated breath as the lion tried to reach him but failed. He had bought himself some time.

Toby knew he needed help. He pulled out his toy walkie-talkie from his backpack and called out to his best friend, Jenny, hoping she was within range.

Jenny heard Toby's call for help and immediately knew she needed to do something. She grabbed her bike and rushed towards the park.

Meanwhile, Toby was still up in the tree, with the lion pacing beneath him. He was scared but tried to stay calm, hoping Jenny would come soon.

Jenny arrived at the park and saw the lion. She knew she had to distract it to help Toby. She picked up a stone and threw it away from the tree.

The lion, hearing the noise, turned and started to walk away from the tree. Toby seized the opportunity and quickly climbed down.

Toby and Jenny ran towards the zoo entrance, shouting for help. The zookeepers heard them and immediately rushed to their aid.

The zookeepers managed to get the lion back into its enclosure. They thanked Toby and Jenny for alerting them and promised to secure the zoo better.

Toby's adventure had come to an end. He was relieved and grateful to Jenny for helping him. They both promised to stay away from the zoo for a while.

That night, as Toby lay in his bed, he realized that he had learned a valuable lesson about safety and the importance of friendship.

The next day, Toby and Jenny were hailed as heroes at school. Even though they were young, they had shown bravery and quick thinking in a crisis.

Toby's parents were proud of their son and his friend. They were relieved that both of them were safe and praised them for their actions.

The zoo authorities were grateful to Toby and Jenny. They decided to award them with free lifetime passes to the zoo, once it was safe again.

Toby and Jenny were excited about the passes but agreed to visit the zoo only when they were older. For now, they would stick to their local park.

Their adventure with the lion became a story that they would tell for years to come. It was a reminder of their courage and friendship.

As for the lion, it remained a popular attraction at the zoo. But now, it was known as the lion that Toby had outsmarted, adding to its fame.

And so, the tale of Toby and the Lion became a legend in their small town. A story of bravery, quick thinking, and the power of friendship.
