As Micheal Afton approached the small granny flat, an unexplainable feeling of dread mixed with excitement washed over him. The old wooden door creaked open slightly as he knocked.

Suddenly, Zaygie Possy, a small girl with a radiant smile, ran towards him. She hugged him tight and then tugged at his hand, signaling him to follow her.

Micheal, although surprised, followed Zaygie. He was led to a small room where the other lost children, Zoey Gardner, Josef Banks, and Carter Fitz-Ambobi, were waiting.

Zaygie led Micheal to a small table where a spelling book lay open. She pointed at the book excitedly, her face filled with pride.

"This is your spelling book, Zaygie?" Micheal asked, looking at the girl. Zaygie nodded enthusiastically, her smile brighter than ever.

Micheal picked up the book and flipped through the pages. He was impressed by Zaygie's progress. "Can you say bird, Zaygie?" He asked gently.

Zaygie looked at Micheal and tried her best to pronounce the word. "Brrrrr," she said, giving Micheal a hopeful look.

Zoey, who had been watching them, stepped in and explained, "We're working on her speech. She's making good progress."

As they continued to interact, Micheal felt a strong bond developing with Zaygie. He was touched by her determination and resilience.

Suddenly, the atmosphere in the room changed. Micheal turned around to see his father, William, standing at the doorway.

William's presence startled the children, but he quickly reassured them. "I'm here to make amends," he said, his voice filled with regret.

The children looked at William skeptically, but Micheal encouraged them to give him a chance. They reluctantly agreed.

William spent the rest of the day with the children. He listened to their stories, played games, and even helped with Zaygie's speech practice.

As the day came to an end, Micheal noticed a change in the children. They seemed more at ease, especially Zaygie, who was now laughing and playing freely.

William's visit ended on a positive note. The children seemed to accept his apology, and there was a newfound peace in the granny flat.

Micheal felt a sense of relief as he watched his father leave. He knew that this was just the beginning, but it was a step in the right direction.

As the night fell, Micheal sat with the children, sharing stories and memories. They laughed and cried, healing old wounds and creating new bonds.

The visit to the lost children ended up being a turning point for Micheal. It was a day filled with unexpected revelations and newfound connections.

As he left the granny flat, he carried with him a heart full of emotions and a mind full of memories. He knew he would visit the children again.

But most importantly, Micheal left with a newfound respect for Zaygie. Her strength and resilience had left a profound impact on him.

As Micheal walked away from the granny flat, he knew that the lost children were not lost anymore. They had found a friend in him, and he in them.

That night, as he lay in bed, he thought about Zaygie and her spelling book. He smiled, knowing that she was making progress, one word at a time.

The next day, Micheal woke up with a renewed sense of purpose. He knew that he had a responsibility towards the lost children, and he was ready to fulfill it.

He made a promise to himself and to the children. He would visit them often, help them grow, and ensure that they were loved and cared for.

And so, Micheal Afton's journey with the lost children began. It was a journey filled with love, hope, and determination. A journey that changed their lives forever.
