Sam, a man now, looked down at the dog before him, a smirk playing on his lips. “Well, Alex, isn't this a change of pace?” he asked, glancing at Ash.

Ash giggled, her eyes flickering between Sam and Alex. “This is fun, isn't it, Alex? You love a good game.” Alex whimpered, his tail tucked between his legs.

The night was young, and Sam led Ash by the hand to the dining table. Alex followed, his eyes never leaving Ash.

The dinner was filled with laughter and teasing. Sam was enjoying the attention from Ash, and Alex could only watch.

Alex’s jealousy was palpable. His eyes followed Ash’s every move, his ears perking up every time she laughed.

Ash leaned in, whispering something in Sam's ear that made him chuckle. Alex’s ears drooped; he felt a pang of jealousy.

Sam and Ash retreated to the living room, leaving Alex alone in the dining room. He could hear their laughter echoing through the house.

Alex spent the night by the dining table, his eyes fixed on the door. He hoped they'd remember the promise to swap them back.

The next morning, Sam and Ash were still in high spirits, but Alex’s hope was waning. He approached Ash, whining softly.

Ash patted Alex’s head, her laughter ringing in his ears. “Oh, Alex, don't be such a spoilsport. We're just having fun.”

Sam watched Ash and Alex, a wicked grin on his face. He was enjoying every moment of this game.

Alex’s heart sank as he realized they had no intention of swapping them back. He lay down, his tail thumping sadly on the floor.

The days turned into weeks, and Alex’s hope started to fade. He missed his human body, his human life.

Sam, on the other hand, was thriving. He was enjoying the attention from Ash, the freedom of his new body.

Alex watched as they grew closer, his heart aching. He wanted to be a part of their world, not just a spectator.

Ash, however, seemed oblivious to his pain. She was too caught up in Sam, in their new life together.

Alex was reduced to a pet, a mere plaything in their game. He yearned for his old life, his old body.

Sam reveled in his new life, while Alex’s world fell apart. The game had turned into a nightmare, a cruel joke.

Alex’s jealousy had been his downfall, his undoing. He was trapped in a body that wasn't his, in a life that wasn't his.

Sam and Ash continued their game, oblivious to the pain they were causing. Alex was just a pawn in their twisted game.

The days turned into months, and Alex’s hope was all but gone. He was stuck, trapped in a body that wasn't his.

Sam and Ash’s laughter echoed through the house, a constant reminder of the life Alex had lost. He was just a spectator, a bystander in his own life.

Alex’s world had been turned upside down, and there was nothing he could do about it. He was a prisoner in his own body, a prisoner in his own life.

Sam and Ash were living their best life, while Alex was living his worst. The game had turned into a nightmare, a nightmare he couldn't wake up from.

Alex's only solace was his memories, his past life. He clung to them, hoping one day they'd be more than just memories.

But for now, Alex was stuck in a body that wasn't his, in a life that wasn't his. He was just a pawn in their twisted game of body swap.
