Phaya Khan Khak, the king of Chompoo City, was revered by all. He was a fair and just ruler, loved by his people. He was satisfied with his rule, but a problem began to arise.

The heavens were ruled by Phaya Than, who became angry when the people of Chompoo City began to neglect him. He withheld the rain, causing a severe drought and hardship in the city.

Phaya Khan Khak travelled to Badalanakh to seek counsel from Phaya Nakh. He learned of Phaya Than's anger and his refusal to let the Phaya Nakh play in the heavens, causing the drought.

Enraged by this revelation, Phaya Khan Khak ordered Phaya Nakh to build a road from Chompoo City to the heavenly border town. The creatures of the city, including termites, bees, wasps, and various animals, gathered to assist.

The road was finally complete. Phaya Khan Khak commanded the procession to march, all creatures, big and small, moved in an orderly manner, climbing the road to the heavens.

At the heavenly border, a fierce battle ensued between Phaya Nakh and Phaya Than, causing the earth to tremble. Eventually, Phaya Than surrendered, pledging to protect the city and bring rain.

With the battle won, Phaya Khan Khak was invited into the city. The nobles of Phaya Than's city pleaded with Phaya Khan Khak not to harm them.

Phaya Khan Khak, being a just and wise king, decided to strike a bargain with Phaya Than. He demanded that rain must fall every year to nourish the human world.

With the return of the rain, Chompoo City thrived once again. The fields were green, the river flowed, and the people rejoiced.

Phaya Than kept his promise, ensuring the prosperity of the city and bringing rain every year. Phaya Khan Khak's efforts had saved his city.

Phaya Khan Khak returned to his city, hailed as a hero. He continued to rule with wisdom and justice, always putting his people first.

And so, the legend of Phaya Khan Khak lived on, a tale of courage and wisdom, inspiring generations to come.
