In the heart of Babylon, there lived a man named Daniel. He was known for his wisdom and his unwavering faith in God.

Daniel was highly regarded by King Darius, who planned to set him over the whole kingdom, causing jealousy among the other officials.

The officials, driven by jealousy, hatched a plan to get rid of Daniel. They convinced King Darius to issue a decree that anyone who prayed to any god or human except the king would be thrown into the lion's den.

Despite the decree, Daniel continued to pray to God three times a day as he had always done.

When King Darius learned that Daniel had defied the decree, he was deeply distressed, but he had no choice but to follow the law. Daniel was thrown into the lion's den.

As Daniel was lowered into the den, the lions roared and paced, their eyes glowing in the dim light.

That night, King Darius couldn't sleep, filled with worry for Daniel. He feared he had condemned a faithful man to death.

Meanwhile, the officials celebrated their victory, confident that they had rid themselves of Daniel.

At the first light of dawn, King Darius hurried to the lion's den, hoping against hope that Daniel had survived.

As the stone was rolled away, to everyone's surprise, Daniel emerged unharmed. God had sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions.

King Darius was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be restored to his position. He also decreed that the God of Daniel should be worshipped throughout the kingdom.
