    King Dasharatha ruled Ayodhya with wisdom and compassion. Despite his kingdom's prosperity, a deep sadness filled his heart. He yearned for an heir to continue his legacy.

    One day, Sage Vishwamitra arrived at Dasharatha's palace, seeking his help. He granted Dasharatha a boon, suggesting a yagna for his deepest wish - an heir.

    Dasharatha distributed the divine pudding among his three queens - Kaushalya, Kaikeyi, and Sumitra. Each queen consumed her share, hopeful for the future.
