Tom woke up with a start. He was in a strange room, old and eerie, completely unfamiliar. He looked around, his eyes wide with fear.

Suddenly, an old lady appeared. Dressed in black, her skin grey and hair white, she held a bat in her hand. Tom's heart pounded in his chest.

Tom fled the room, dashing down a cluttered hallway. Behind him, he could hear Granny's footsteps, her bat scraping against the floor.

He darted into a room, shutting the door behind him. He was panting hard, fear gripping him. He needed to find a way out.

Tom found a staircase leading up to the attic. He could see moonlight streaming through a small window. He thought he could escape from there.

As he tried to climb out, Granny appeared, blocking his path. Tom was trapped, his heart pounding in his chest.

In a desperate bid, Tom managed to evade Granny and run into an old library. He tried to find a hiding spot among the towering bookshelves.

He found a secret passage behind a bookshelf leading to a hidden room. A glimmer of hope ignited in his heart.

Inside the room, he found an old chest. With baited breath, he opened it and found a set of keys. Could this be his way out?

As he picked up the keys, Granny appeared at the entrance. Tom was frozen in fear. But he knew he had to escape.

With a burst of courage, Tom ran towards the main door, Granny hot on his heels. He fumbled with the keys, his hands shaking.

Finally, the key turned, the door creaked open. He sprinted out, leaving the terrifying ordeal behind. He was safe, but the mystery of Granny remained.
