The distinct difference between his hometown Karachi and Islamabad was evident as soon as he stepped off the plane. The air was fresh, and the city was surrounded by lush green hills and clear blue skies.

Alyan’s host family welcomed him kindly and showed him around the city. His first stop was the famous Faisal Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Asia. Its modernistic design inspired by a Bedouin tent left Alyan awestruck.

The very next day, a visit to the Pakistan Monument was planned. The monument was beautiful, but the history it represented was even more breathtaking. It was in the shape of a blooming flower signifying the progress of Pakistan.

At the Islamabad Zoo, Alyan's face lit up like a child's. He saw the local fauna and learned about the conservation efforts to protect them. The sight of the majestic Bengal Tiger was a sight he would never forget.

The Rawal Lake was next on his itinerary. The serene lake surrounded by flowering trees and picnic spots was the perfect place for Alyan to reflect on his journey so far. He went on a boat ride and saw the sun setting over the lake.

During his last week, Alyan visited Centaurus Mall, a multi-purpose complex. He was amazed by the hustle and bustle of the mall, full of shops and food courts. It was an example of the modern Islamabad.

Alyan also spent a day at the Pakistani National Park. He went hiking and saw the rich flora and fauna of the region. He was amazed by the biodiversity and the conservation efforts being made.

The host family invited Alyan to a cricket match, the national sport. Despite not understanding the rules at first, he found himself cheering and enjoying the spirit of the game. It was a fun-filled day.

His final stop was the Quaid-e-Azam University. As he walked through the campus, he imagined how enriching it would be to study in such an esteemed institution surrounded by such natural beauty.
