Once upon a time, in a sunny village in Portugal, there lived a little girl named Sofia. Sofia loved to learn new things, especially languages. One day, as she was walking through the village, she saw a sign that said, "Learn European Portuguese Greetings." Excitedly, Sofia decided to join the class and discover the magic of Portuguese greetings.

On her first day of class, Sofia's teacher, Mrs. Fernandes, greeted her with a big smile and said, "Olá, Sofia! Welcome to our Portuguese class." Sofia learned that "olá" means "hello" in Portuguese.

The next morning, as Sofia was leaving her house to go to school, her mom wished her a good day. Sofia remembered another greeting she had learned, and she replied, "Bom dia, Mom!" Sofia knew that "bom dia" means "good morning" in Portuguese.

In the afternoon, Sofia went to the local café to meet her friend Luis. As she arrived, she greeted him by saying, "Boa tarde, Luis!" Luis smiled and greeted Sofia back. "Boa tarde" means "good afternoon" in Portuguese. Sofia was proud of herself for knowing so many greetings!

In the evening, as the sun began to set, Sofia went to the village square. She saw an older lady sitting on a bench and wanted to be polite. So she said, "Boa noite, senhora!" The lady smiled and replied, "Boa noite, dear." Sofia had learned that "boa noite" means "good evening" in Portuguese.

As the weeks went by, Sofia became friends with many people in the village. She always greeted them with a warm "olá", "bom dia", "boa tarde", or "boa noite" depending on the time of day. Everyone loved Sofia's friendly nature and her desire to learn their language.

One sunny day, Sofia's Portuguese class had a field trip to a beautiful castle. They were all so excited to explore and learn about the history of Portugal. As they entered the castle, the tour guide greeted them with a smile and said, "Olá, children! Welcome to our castle." Sofia felt proud because she understood everything he said.

Inside the castle, Sofia discovered a big, golden door. As she pushed it open, she saw an enchanting room filled with books. The room was like a magical library, waiting to tell stories. The librarian, a friendly old man, greeted Sofia with a hearty "olá". Sofia knew she had found a special place.

On the last day of Portuguese class, Mrs. Fernandes organized a farewell party. All the children brought homemade treats, and they greeted each other joyfully with "olá", "bom dia", "boa tarde", and "boa noite". They were so excited to celebrate their journey of learning Portuguese greetings.

After the party, Sofia's parents surprised her with a trip to Portugal's capital city, Lisbon. Sofia was overjoyed! As she explored the beautiful city, she practiced her Portuguese greetings with everyone she met. They were amazed by how well Sofia spoke their language.

On their last day in Lisbon, Sofia's family visited a famous marketplace. Sofia wanted to buy a souvenir to remember her amazing trip. She approached a vendor and politely said, "Olá, sir! How much is this keychain?" The vendor smiled and replied, "Olá, young lady! It's three euros." Sofia happily bought the keychain, knowing she had used her Portuguese greetings correctly.

As Sofia and her family left Portugal, they waved goodbye to the beautiful country. Sofia turned to her parents and said, "Adeus, Portugal! Thank you for teaching me the magic of Portuguese greetings." Sofia knew that "adeus" meant "goodbye" in Portuguese, and she would never forget the wonderful experiences she had in the sunny village.
