"Sandhoff!" McCall exclaimed, his face flushed with exasperation as he entered their shared study. "Why are you dressed as a maid?"

"Why not? You fairies always need a helping hand, don't you?" she replied, a mischievous smirk on her face as she continued to dust the shelves.

"But, why now? And why you?" McCall was genuinely puzzled. He had seen her in various roles before, but as a subservient maid was not something he had anticipated.

"Isn't it obvious, McCall? I'm under a spell." Sandhoff stated flatly, refusing to face him. "A spell that made me your servant."

"Why, that's preposterous!" McCall retorted. He liked to tease Sandhoff but seeing her treated as a mere servant was simply unacceptable.

"McCall," she said, her voice wavering slightly. "I can't rid of this spell, unless..." She trailed off, unable to complete her sentence.

"Unless what, Sandhoff?" McCall asked, curiosity slowly replacing his earlier confusion.

"Unless," Sandhoff stammered, "unless we spend a night together."

"A night together?" McCall's eyes widened in surprise. "But, Sandhoff, we've never..." He trailed off, unable to voice the rest of his thought.

"It's embarrassing, I know," she said, her eyes downcast. "But that's the antidote to the spell."

McCall took a deep breath and nodded. "Then that's what we must do. If it means ending this absurd spell..."

Their night together was filled with laughter, whispers, and the occasional blush. Their bond grew stronger and they both discovered feelings they had been suppressing.

The next morning, Sandhoff woke up free from the spell but laden with new emotions. She found herself yearning to be in McCall's company again.

"McCall," She begun, hesitating. "About last night..."

"It was a wonderful night, wasn't it?" He said, not waiting for her to finish. His face was beaming and for the first time, Sandhoff noticed a soft blush on his cheeks.

"Yes," She admitted, blushing herself. "It was indeed."

Over the course of the second day, they found excuses to spend time together. A shared book, a dilemma with a mischievous fairy, a quiet dinner.

As the day turned into night, Sandhoff found herself back in her room, dressed in the same maid outfit. This time though, there was a different look in her eyes.

"McCall," she called out to him from her doorway. "I've decided..." She paused, gathering her courage.

"Decided what, Sandhoff?" He asked, his heart racing. Was she about to confess her feelings for him as well?

"I've decided to keep the outfit." She said, blushing as she watched his reaction.

"You look beautiful in it, Sandhoff," he said, a soft smile spreading across his face. "And," he added, "I love you."

Sandhoff's heart fluttered at his confession. She found herself smiling back at him. "I love you too, McCall."

Their confessions came as a relief, washing away the tension and awkwardness they had experienced in the past two days. It brought them closer than they'd ever been.

The two fairy hunters, caught in a spell and forced to confront their feelings, had found love in the most unexpected circumstances. And they wouldn't have it any other way.
