    Brian couldn't contain the surprise. His boyfriend, Eli, had been cast in the play "Wicked". A story about the witches from "The Wizard of Oz". Eli would be playing Glinda. Brian was beyond proud.

    Despite Eli being male, he'd be playing Glinda. His costume was a sky-blue shiny tuxedo, a departure from the traditional dress. Brian thought Eli looked amazing.

    Eli had Glinda's original wand, a precious item. He also wore a silver crown. His hair was dyed blonde to fit the role. Brian could hardly recognize his own boyfriend.

    When Eli as Glinda descended on stage, someone asked him, "Was she your friend?" referring to the witch. Brian felt a twinge of pride at Eli's perfect portrayal.
