It was just another day in modern times. Alexander Hamilton found himself alone in the apartment that he shared with his boyfriend, John Laurens. John was at work, whilst Alex was at home, trying to shake off an illness.

Alexander was lying on the sofa, draped in a soft blanket. Despite the warmth it provided, he felt a cold chill creeping up his spine. He was too wrapped up in his own discomfort to notice the changing weather.

Then, the storm began. The rain pounded heavily against the windows and the thunder sounded like cannons in the distance. When Alex finally became aware of the storm, a surge of panic hit him.

His rapid breathing echoed in the silence of the apartment. Memories of a past hurricane instantly flooded his mind, triggering his post-traumatic stress disorder. He envisioned water rising, threatening to drown him and John.

Consumed by fear, Alex instinctively grabbed his phone off the coffee table. His trembling fingers moved quickly across the screen, dialing John’s number. He needed to hear his boyfriend's comforting words.

John was amidst a conversation with Eliza and Angelica Schuyler when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Upon seeing Alex's name flash on the screen, he immediately excused himself to answer.

As soon as John answered the call, he was met with Alexander's frantic voice. His heart ached when he heard his boyfriend's pleas for help, the fear in his voice all too palpable.

Alex’s panic was evident as he spoke, his sentences barely cohesive. He kept repeating that the hurricane was back, that it was going to drown both of them. The terror he felt felt was contagious, and John felt it too.

At home, Alex wasn't alone. Their other boyfriends, Hercules Mulligan and Lafayette, were there too. They had been trying to calm Alex down, but their words fell on deaf ears as his panic continued to increase.

Hercules was trying to keep his voice steady, reminding Alex that they were safe in their apartment. Lafayette, on the other hand, was silently praying for the storm to pass quickly, feeling helpless.

John was at a loss for words. Hearing Alex in such a state brought him pain. He assured Alex that he would be home soon, his voice trying to sound stronger than he felt.

He ended the call and immediately left his meeting with the Schuyler sisters. They tried to ask what was wrong, but John was already out the door before they could finish their sentences.

As John made his way to the apartment, he called Lafayette and Hercules. He quickly instructed them to keep Alex calm and reassured them he was on his way.

Hercules, trying to think on his feet, decided to distract Alex. He steered him towards the kitchen, intending to make hot chocolate, hoping the familiar routine would be comforting.

Meanwhile, Lafayette continued to reassure Alex. He held him gently, whispering words of comfort. He repeated that they were safe, that the hurricane was not coming for them.

The minutes seemed to stretch for hours as they all waited for John to arrive. Hercules had already made the hot chocolate and was holding a warm mug in his hands, waiting to hand it to Alex.

The arrival of John brought a wave of relief. He walked in, his clothes soaked from the rain, but his resolve strong. He swiftly moved to comfort Alex, who had still not completely calmed down.

John joined Lafayette in comforting Alex, while Hercules handed him the mug of hot chocolate. He could see that Alex was slowly starting to calm down as he clung onto him.

As the storm subsided, so did Alex's fear. Eventually, he was able to let go of John and Hercules. His breathing slowed, and his panic receded. The hurricane was over, at least inside his mind.

They spent the rest of the night in each other's arms, comforting Alex until he fell asleep. When he woke up the next morning, the storm was over, and so was his panic.

John kept close to Alex for the rest of the day, making sure the old fears didn’t resurface. Hercules and Lafayette were also attentive, ensuring their boyfriend felt safe and loved.

Days turned into weeks, and Alex started attending therapy to cope with his PTSD. John, Hercules, and Lafayette remained by his side, supporting him through the process.

As Alex began to manage his PTSD better, the apartment felt calmer. It was a slow journey, but his boyfriends were there for him every step of the way, offering him the love and care he needed.

They faced the future together, weathering storms both real and in the mind. They knew it wouldn't always be easy, but they also knew that they had the strength and love to overcome anything.

In the end, the experience brought them closer together. It reminded them of their love for each other and their determination to face any challenge. No hurricane, real or imagined, could tear them apart.
