In a kingdom far away, a kind-hearted princess named Rose resided. Rose was famed not only for her exquisite beauty but also for her gentle nature. She cherished the simplicity and serenity of her secluded garden, lavishly adorned with pristine white roses.

The aromatic allure of the roses was not the sole reason for her adoration. For Rose, these blooms symbolized peace and purity. Dutifully she tended to her garden, ensuring each flower remained untouched by harm, as beautiful as herself.

News of the captivating Princess Rose reached a laborer from the Aquidauana Pantanal. Intrigued, he journeyed across the realm to behold her for himself. Once he laid his eyes upon her, he was instantly smitten.

Expressing his love, he asked for Princess Rose's hand in marriage. She gave her consent immediately, for she was equally smitten by him. They set their wedding date for the following day with the promise of a special gift.

On his journey back to his home, the laborer encountered a fearsome red dragon. Despite his courage, the dragon's fiery attack critically injured him. He escaped, but his body bore the brutal consequence of the battle.

Mortally wounded, the laborer remembered his promise to Rose. He found a white rose nearby and, pressing it to his bleeding chest, he made a pledge, transforming the rose into something more than just a flower.

"This rose now symbolizes our love," he murmured, "Just as a red rose stands for love and respect, this flower will bear testimony to our tale, The Legend of the Red Rose."

With his last ounce of strength, the laborer returned to the kingdom, delivered the gift to Rose, and succumbed to his injuries. The sight of the red rose and his lifeless body filled her eyes with tears.

The kingdom mourned, and Rose was left heartbroken. However, she remembered the laborer's words about the rose and what it symbolized. It became a symbol of their love, courage, and sacrifice.

As time passed, red roses began to bloom in her garden, replacing the white ones. They reminded her of the love she had lost and the courage of the man who had loved her so deeply.

The story of the red rose spread throughout the kingdom, transforming into a legend. It became a symbol of a love that was so pure and true; it transcended even the fierce fire of a dragon.
