Nur Hasim, a 25-year-old young man from Cilibur Village, Paguyangan District, Brebes Regency, has become the goalkeeper for Indonesia's national amputee football team. He is set to compete in the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) World Cup in Turkey from September 1st to 9th, 2022. Indonesia is placed in Group C alongside England, Argentina, and the United States. Hasim expressed his gratitude and requested prayers from the Indonesian people for their support in achieving the best possible result for their nation.

The Indonesian National Amputee Football Team has been undergoing intensive training since June 27th, 2022, at the Sports Club Serenia Mansion Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta. Hasim, in particular, has dedicated himself to honing his skills by training three times a week. Every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, he can be found practicing at the Cilibur Football Field, participating in external club selections or training individually. Initially, Hasim was skeptical due to the absence of an Amputee Football Association (PSBA) in Brebes. However, he persevered and participated in the selections solely with his physical abilities and skills.

At the beginning of his career, Hasim started as a defender before transitioning to become the goalkeeper he is today. Naturally, he hopes that a Brebes-based amputee football club will be established soon, providing a platform for talented athletes like himself.

On a separate note, the Head of Cilibur Village, Nurrohman, expressed the need for special attention to be given to Hasim. He emphasized that Hasim is a world-class athlete who still plays his games in a remote village in the mountainous region of Paguyangan sub-district.
